About us

Olivier Glitsch founded Avex Aviation Experts AG back in 1999/2000. He graduated from business school in Zurich and started his career in aviation as assistant catering manager for the Swiss airline Balair. Subsequently, he completed his flight training in Boulder CO, USA, and obtained his private pilot's license.

After three years, he left Balair and took up a job as navigation officer for Swissair, where he remained in the job for 16 years. First as group leader for the production of air navigation charts, he later joined a project team and took part in the development of computer-based navigation chart production. Later he was further responsible for the implementation and supervision of the electronic charting system.

In 1996, Olivier Glitsch left Swissair and established his own company, Glitsch Consulting GmbH, Internet Solutions (Web-Design, Hosting). His company has acquired and managed over 60 projects since then in the fields of internet/intranet for banks, industrial companies and government departments, including the development of an online reservation and booking system.

With the formation of Avex Aviation Experts AG in 2000, he returned to aviation, where information technology is still his main concern. At Avex, he is also responsible for the training administration, for our recruiting services and for coordinating the assignment of our staff.
